Overview

We offer retained search services to our clients to ensure that every suitable candidate in the market has been identified, assessed and carefully selected, allowing us to deliver successfully on critical roles.

This is our preferred approach to search as it allows us to partner closer with our clients. This approach also helps to keep your vacancy as confidential as possible and prevents duplication amongst multiple recruiters contacting the same talent pool.

The retained search model is typically structured as an up-front payment on initiation, a second payment on the presentation of the shortlist of candidates and final payment on the start date of the candidate.

The finer details of terms would be discussed with our consulting team to come up with a solution that works commercially for you and achieves your business objectives. 

Methodology

It all starts with a client meeting. We like to build long-term relationships with our clients, so hopefully we know you already, but if not, we would engage in a search qualification meeting. This is where we sit down to discuss the requirements of your search and learn more about your business, ideally in person if possible.

After the search is initiated, we would identify the candidates in the market we know. For example, if you’re looking for a Trader who specialises in the North Asia region with a focus on Korea markets to be based in Singapore, this criteria is already recorded in our database so we know who to go to first.

In tandem with approaching our network, we would extend our research to new candidates for the search.

Our research team is very methodological and would map companies that you’ve identified as strong source targets, to ensure we’ve identified every possible candidate in the market.

We would present a weekly update with you in the form of a report including our list of candidates. This allows us to receive your feedback on the search and select your shortlist, as well as us to share the candidate’s feedback as well.

Once you’ve selected your preferred candidates, we would then work with you to manage those candidates along the interview process.

Confidentiality

With secrecy being of utmost important int he Commodities industry, our clients would typically prefer our search to be a narrow one, where the market information that our client is hiring, is very unlikely to get out to the market.

A retained search prevents too many 3rd party headhunters approaching the same candidates, which ultimately protects your brand in the market and keeps the search as confidential as possible.

Should you prefer only to engage selected candidates from our longlist, we can follow this approach, which would be agreed in our initial search qualification discussion.

We also operate under the radar and never advertise our clients vacancies publicly on LinkedIn, social media or other headhunting tools.
